INDIANA COUNCIL KICKS OFF IC CHALLENGE!
As you may know, the International Cup is a step toward making twirling an Olympic sport and it's coming to the US! The 2011 IC will be held Aug. 4-7, 2011, in Jacksonville, Florida!
This premier event will increase awareness of baton twirling and USTA in the US, bring the world’s best twirlers to our country, and give our athletes the opportunity to compete in an international event without the cost of international travel.
But hosting an event of this magnitude is an enormous and expensive undertaking, estimated at $150,000! That's why the Indiana Baton Council has kicked off the IC Challenge with a $1,000 donation!
"It is fitting that the IC Challenge receives its jumpstart from the state of Indiana, the birthplace of the US Twirling Association," said USTA President Diana Loomis.
The Indiana Council challenges all state and regional councils, twirling clubs and studios, and twirling supporters to take the challenge! Make a tax-deductible donation to the USTA Benefactor Foundation and earmark it for the IC challenge!

IN Philsophy Statement
Objectives:
- To arouse and maintain an enthusiastic interest in the various phases of baton twirling and associated activities in the state of Indiana
- To lend all possible support both moral and finanacial to the parent association, the USTA Inc.
- To build and maintain an organization of teachers, judges, and other interested persons to generally promote twirling activities in Indiana
- To promote and administer all USTA state competitions
- To coordinate twirling activities and encourage harmonious relationships among all twirling teachers and persons participating in twirling activities throughout the state of Indiana
